OnYourMark Education provides individualized literacy instruction that is revolutionizing the way students learn to read. Grounded in cognitive science, and started when a child first begins to read, OnYourMark takes what works best in virtual instruction and combines it with high quality materials and best-in-class training to implement tutoring during the school day. Consistent tutoring sessions ensure that all students have access to individualized and responsive instruction that a single teacher in a traditional classroom setting cannot deliver. OnYouMark currently serves 1,500 students in Texas and New York, and anticipates doubling that number next school year. With the $1 million Yass Prize, OnYourMark would, over the next three years, extend its tutoring reach to as many as 10,000 students across 100 school partners. This expansion would include growth within current partner organizations and into an additional five to ten new geographical areas.
