CREATE Conservatory – as pioneers of Arts Integration AI – is reimagining education for its community’s gifted and creative students. Through its STEM education and its Arts Integration model–the first of its kind in central Florida–students acquire new knowledge and demonstrate mastery in traditional subjects using music, movement, theater, painting, sculpture, and other art forms. This is an ideal vehicle for tapping into gifted and creative students’ strengths. When the arts are used to create a frame of reference for learning, students can make meaningful connections to one another, to themselves, and to learning. If awarded the million dollar Yass Prize, CREATE would purchase the land needed to establish the ultimate creative learning environment by building a state-of-the-art K-12 conservatory and campus in Central Florida, which could serve hundreds more students.
